I.           Chakra overview

 

A.  The Chakra system

1.  There are seven major and several minor chakras, which exist on many planes simultaneously.

 

2.  The chakras are created by the intersection of two major vertical currents.

 

 

3.  The lower chakras are of equal value and importance to the upper chakras for human beings at our present level of development.

 

4.  The chakra system describes a pattern of evolution and that we are presently going from the third level to the fourth.

 

a.    We are moving through the third chakra of power through energy into the heart center

b.    Heart will be the ‘New age’ and a balance between the upper and lower chakras

 

5.  The chakras also correspond to colors, sounds, deities, dimensions and other subtle phenomenon.

 

6.  The system has value for personal growth and use in therapy.

 

 

7.  These seven levels are proportional to the possible number of planes in a similar ratio to the seven colors of the rainbow and the spectrum of electromagnetic waves. The chakras are merely the vibrations that we can perceive with our present “equipment” just as the colors of the rainbow are all that we can perceive with the naked eye.

 

8.  The chakras are in constant interplay and can only be separated intellectually.

 

 

9.  The chakras can be opened through various exercises, through meditation, acupuncture points, bio-feedback, and general understanding, thus leading to a more profound state of consciousness.  This state of consciousness is obtainable by anyone.

10.          Chakras hold information that we experience in our lives- where we record thoughts and beliefs

 

 

B.  Root Chakra

1.  The first building block, other chakras rest on top, it is our foundation

2.  Where you are programmed by your family

3.  Your family decides where your energy is going to go like your beliefs about finance, racial beliefs

4.  You are usually more directed by your families beliefs than you realize

5.  The more energy you put into a group belief the more of their energy comes back to you

6.  It sometimes comes back in an epidemic

7.  The victim consciousness of our society, I blame others for my problems

8.  So I can do what I want b/c I am a victim

9.  You will lose your life force energy when you give your energy away to the thoughts and beliefs you have

10.          The family creates your health and reality at this level

11.          If you stay in this chakra you are letting others create your life

12.          You are connected to the external world and beliefs you will only heal as fast as the society believes you can heal

13.          Keeps our emotions stable

14.          This is our grounding point into the earth

a.    When we are grounded we are humble and our ideas become reality

b.    Brings our consciousness into our body

c.    It keeps us from being over loaded by everyday living

d.    Helps us cope with stress

e.    Easier to make decisions when grounded

f.     When grounded our needs are more direct and we manifest them more easily

 

15.          Addictions

a.  Can become addicted to material or earthly things

16.          Survival

a.    When our basic needs are threatened we react

b.    If you have a lot of health issues it is a root chakra problem

c.    Money issues are root chakra

1.)       It is called “poverty Consciousness”

2.)       Need to increase your self worth

17.          Our Body

a.    In order to master the first chakra we must accept our body, feel it and validate it

b.    We have to be open to the pain and pleasure of the body

18.          When you break away from group thought your life changes

19.          Do you make your decisions based on what you think your family will say

20.          They want you to think like them but when you take your power back you break away from the mold

 

C.  Sacral Chakra

1.  This chakra is about change and desires

a.    It is the desire and duality that creates change

2.  Your need for control or lack of control but the need costs you a lot of your life force energy

3.  Competition is here

4.  This a the more refined place for financial issues

5.  Your lower back holds your financial pain

6.  Deals with our emotions and sexuality

7.  We link Sex, power and money

8.  Where we keep the memory of any violations

9.  Soap operas and society teach us to get back at others and later we learn about forgiveness

10.          Creative power and occupation

11.          This is where a lot of creative ideas are lost b/c you think the idea will come at a great cost

12.          Where we keep our vows or our word

13.          Bodily functions of circulation, urinary, elimination, sexuality and reproduction

14.          Pleasure

a.    We are taught to repress pleasure

b.    It is natural for us to seek pleasure

c.    It is part of our bodily impulses

d.    This can be a trap, by avoiding pleasure or indulging in it too much

e.    Follows the path of least resistance and gets caught in cycles

15.          Reproduction and sexuality

a.    Sexuality is a life force

b.    There is evidence that temporary celibacy can help open the doorway to altered states of awareness and raise energy up the Sushumna

c.    In order to do this you must channel the energy

16.          Nurturing

a.    One has a greater emotional stability when touched regularly

b.    Nurturing is important to children and adults

17.          Clairsentience

a.    The ability to sense other peoples emotions

b.    Empathy

c.    You pick up other’s moods and wishes

d.    You need to know the difference between yours and others emotions

 

D.  Solar Plexus

1.  The purpose is transformation

2.  Where we hold every criticism we have heard

3.  Your ethical self, how you honor yourself

4.  Self esteem and integrity

a.    Do you change your opinion or choice you have made because of something someone has said?

b.    Their criticism or judgment

5.  If there is imbalance we lack power

6.  We need to balance the extremes

7.  This is the place we make real transformation from old patterns

8.  It is through the will

9.  It is the first level of our intellect

10.          Shows us how to obtain our desires

11.          The physical direction and need is here

12.          Fear of rejection

a.    Fear will compromise your intuition

b.    When you stop buying into the fear your family agrees upon you start to develop your own power

13.          Power

a.    It is power of integration

b.    Power within

c.    Need to rethink what power is

d.    It gets it power because all major nadis originate from the navel (this chakra is also called the navel chakra)

e.    A sense of inner power is necessary for growth

f.     Power as a connection, not domination

g.    Your need for approval

h.    Someone who tells you what to think or to change something is taking your power

i.      Power means responsibility

j.     Victims do not need to be responsible

k.    As a victim you will negotiate your sense of self to pleas others

 

14.          Will

a.    Will is the combination of mind and action

b.    Will and personal power go together

c.    Uses powerlessness to fuel will

d.    Difference between Will and True Will

1.)       If you do something someone else tells you to do you are still exercising your will

2.)       True will is a deep communication with yourself

3.)       Trust in yourself

4.)       Ability to risk the consequences of your actions

5.)       True will is beyond the ego self

6.)       It is more about a higher purpose

e.    We have to be grounded or we will be pushed around

f.     We need to have a balance between our Will and Universal will or God Will

15.          Breaking Powerlessness

a.    Knowledge is power

b.    Breaking Inertia- do something diff

c.    Take care of yourself

d.    Avoid invalidation-

e.    Wiring and resistors-

f.     Breaking attachments

g.    Attention- to needs

h.    Grounding

i.      Anger- blocked anger

j.     Increasing information

k.    Love

l.      Laughter- do not take things seriously

m.  Effort and resistance

 

 

E.  Heart

1.  Love center

 

2.  The chakra that brings spirit and matter together

3.  The balance between the two worlds

4.  This is where your personal development starts

5.  The emotional center

a.    Where you manifest b/c of the emotion behind it

b.    The wounded self resides here

c.    May use these wounds to control others

d.     

6.  Relationships

a.    Relationships have patterns, each in its own place

b.    How we interact with others tells us a lot about our chakras

c.    Where do you love someone?

1.)       If it is a financial relationship it is through the 2nd chakra

2.)       Love for safety

3.)       These insecure love patterns will interfere with your own self love

7.  Balance

a.    Sushumna

b.    If we are not in balance with ourselves our chakras are not in alignment

c.    Great bit of damage if they fall too far out of alignment

d.    Imbalance in the Core or heart can throw the whole system off

e.    Balance between

1.)       Upper and lower chakras

2.)       Mind and body

3.)       Inner and outer

4.)       Self and transcendence

f.     In order to love we must transcend the ego

g.    We lose our alignment if we give too much

h.    When we give our energy is depleted

8.  Bonding/affinity

a.    The other person has something in their energy field we need

b.    Affinity within means acceptance & unconditional love

9.  Love

a.    Break away from our lower chakras

b.    Self love

1.)       Self love is healing

2.)       It is the road to a mystical experience

3.)       You see the world in a more centered way

4.)       Things change when you journey into the heart

5.)       Your tribe and spouse see you differently and may even become threatened

6.)       You become a new person

7.)       We Ascend by honoring ourselves & others

c.    Love between self and others

d.    Positive feedback stimulates the heart

e.    Unhealthy attachments hurt the heart

f.     To connect with others the heart needs to be open

g.    When you say nice things to others you receive it back in your heart

h.    Must be sincere

i.      Rejection-

j.     Fear can hold us back

k.    If our heart chakra is closed it restricts the flow of the other chakras

10.          Need to learn compassion

11.          Forgiveness

a.    If you can truly forgive you find divine love

b.    You let go of fear

c.    After forgiveness selfish acts become acts of divine love

d.    Your heart chakra knows when you have not truly forgiven, it cannot be fooled

 

F.   Throat

1.  This chakra is about communication, sound, vibration and self expression

2.  Communication expands your consciousness

3.  Center of creativity

a.    Takes old ideas and makes them new

4.  It transmits and receives information

5.  Communication is key to accessing the inner planes

a.    Communication connects us

6.  This is the chakra between mind and body

a.    Also between mind and heart

7.  To access this chakra there must be a certain level of purification

a.    Is more sensitive to the subtle things

b.    Sound affects the cellular structure of matter

8.  Will center

a.    Many give up their will to fit in

b.    Follow the will of family

c.    Will is really a power of choice

d.    Capacity to speak truth

e.    Who owns your will?

f.     Where the Will of God lies

9.  The area of surrender to God’s will

a.    When you surrender to God’s will fear disappears

b.    Disengage from society’s will and follow divine will

c.    To surrender is the highest act of will possible

d.    Trust in Divine will and you learn to trust yourself

10.          Vibration

a.    Connects us to the vibrations of the etheric realm

b.    Vibration is in all objects

c.    If healthy you respond to the subtle vibrations 

d.    We affect each other through the vibrations

e.    You respond to the tone of voice more than the actual words spoken

f.     Rhythm entrainment

1.)       Waves that start to oscillate at the same time

2.)       If you are in a room with high vibrations your body entrains itself to that frequency

3.)       Different waves create interference patterns

4.)       They alter the harmony

5.)       An active chakra in one person can trigger the opening of an inactive chakra in a another

 

11.          Mantras

a.    Sound waves affect matter

b.    Mantras focus the mind

c.    Mantras calm the mind

d.    Hindus believe that the universe is made up of sound

e.    Mantras help to control and develop our minds, body and spirit

f.     Each time we use a mantra we increase its power

g.    Affirmations in the form of mantras become more powerful

12.          It is about speaking your truth

13.          It is responsible for the balance between feeling and thought

14.          Represents hearing

15.          Creative arts of writing, speech music

 

G.  Sixth Chakra- Third Eye

1.  The center of seeing

2.  Related to light

3.  The intertwining nadis, Ida and Pingala join together with the Sushunma as they enter this chakra

4.  Psychic tool

5.  The brow chakra is actually located in the brain

a.    It is more mental

b.    May be linked to the collective unconscious

c.    Place of wisdom

d.    Pineal gland

e.    Where we have visual conversations

f.     Pineal gland is also called the seat of the soul

g.    Reaches its full development by age 7

h.    Embryologically the pineal gland is derived from a third eye that begins to develop early in the embryo and later degenerates

i.      This gland influences both the endocrine and central nervous system

j.     It is also affected by light

6.  Light is a higher vibration than sound

a.    Variation in frequency gives us different colors

b.    Light travels faster then sound

7.  Color

a.    Color is produced by variations in the wavelengths of light

b.    Hotter colors, red, orange yellows are lower frequency and have less energy

c.    Cooler colors, blue green, violet are higher and have more energy

8.  Clairvoyant

a.    It is not our eyes that see, it is our mind

b.    The third eye looks and the ajna that sees

c.    Ajna means to know, to perceive and to command- it is the name of the brow chakra in Sanskrit

d.    Clairvoyance is a willed process of visualization

e.    It is imagination

f.     You need to communicate what you see

g.    You need to make sense of it

9.  It is the area of intuition

 

H. Chakra Seven- Crown

1.  Cosmic Consciousness

2.  Knowing

a.    Taking information and piecing it together

b.    Where we access higher information

c.    A complete knowing

d.    Cognitive consciousness

1.)       How the mind interprets the world

2.)       How it exchanges information about the world/reality

3.)       Puts things in logical order

e.    Transcendent Consciousness

1.)       The realm beyond

2.)       Not part of logical thought

3.)       Opens our awareness

3.  This is the chakra that brings all the other information from the other chakras together so we may understand it

4.  Belief that anything is possible

5.  Meditation

a.    This is the key to this chakra

b.    Through meditation we clean our thoughts

c.    We understand everything easier after mediating

d.    This is how we reach transcendent Consciousness

6.  Enlightenment

a.    It is a process

b.    You can become enlightened in one area and lack in another

c.    Once we balance all the chakras we become enlightened

 

7.  It brings us to be able to work in the higher planes

8.  If this center is awakened without being grounded you will not live in your body

9.  You will want to leave this world

10.          Depression
